Isaac Chinyoka (PhD) is a researcher for the Ethiopia-South Africa migration corridor based at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Isaac is responsible for the quantitative portions of the project, including the core project survey.

Isaac’s interests include migration and development, child rights, comparative public policy, social protection, the political economy of poverty alleviation, family policy, health and disaster management, social development and welfare, social theory and development economics. He teaches these subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. For the past 15 years, Isaac has worked in research, management and leadership for international and national non-governmental organisations in Africa, including USAID, UNICEF, the World Food Programme, Population Services International, Concern Worldwide, GOAL International. Isaac earned his Master of Science in Development Studies and his doctorate from the University of Cape Town.
