Feng graduated from China Northwest Normal University with a bachelor's degree in Geographic Science and graduated from the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences with a master's degree in Rural and Regional Development. In previous studies and work, Feng mainly focused on poverty and ecological environment-related issues.
Feng's PhD focuses on Rural Development and Management, with a continued focus on poverty as well as poverty reduction.
